If you were sitting across from me and we were swapping our favorite encouragement finds for kid's or ourselves as mama's... this is what I would share.

My mom passed away in 2005 before my journey into marriage and motherhood began. God has been faithful to provide me with many godly women to disciple me, and Sally Clarkson has been one of my virtual mentors. Her wisdom and Christ centered advice have helped to shape how I see the role God has carved out for me. One of purpose, calling, and discipleship, an act of worship in small moments. Her podcast is my dish-doing, dinner-cooking companion!

Happy Hymnody provides a new hymn each month to sing with your family. There's so much theology in hymns, and it's such an easy and joyful way to memorize it. We sang hymns with our children before HH came into our lives, but I was always inconsistent about selecting a new one and getting it printed up and posted for our family. Happy Hymnody keeps me on track with their beautifully presented printables.

Oh how we love the Read Aloud Revival! Sarah Mackenzie (the brains behind the operation) has introduced us to so many wonderful literary 'friends'! She has encouraged me to keep reading aloud to kids who are old enough to read to themselves, to keep my personal reading life active, and to cherish the hours of reading to my littlest ones. She has an amazing podcast, and extensive reading recommendations lists which will spark joy in your literary life.
